Education

Our promise to our stylists is to groom and enhance their skills so they can strive to be the best hair artists in the industry. Our intense training will bring up their self confidence so they can educate you, our clients on the details of different services, treatments, and products. As each stylist moves through the educational process and gains experience, they move up in our Levels of Service.

Education is one of our five core values at Ergün Tercan European Salon. We believe that team education and hands-on training are the core essentials to becoming a successful hairstylist. Our comprehensive apprentice program offers a range of education that expands creative cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, smoothing treatments, an in-depth understanding to the industry as a whole. Personal growth classes such as "7 Habits of highly effective people" and "Servant Leadership" are also offered to balance out their learning experience. The innovative team at our salon sets the pace for others to follow, as we nurture artistic flair.

Depending on the stylist-apprentice's experience, the training program may take anywhere from 6 weeks to a year. Stylist-apprentices need to carry a valid cosmetology license in Colorado in order to be eligible to work at our salon.

Ergün Tercan's detailed education program provides stylists with extensive hands-on training, business essentials and real world experience. Apprentices are required to complete three classes per week, performed on live models, in addition to working in the salon 35-40 hours per week, assisting all stylists in the salon. Ergün Tercan's program is designed to give stylist-apprentices the greatest technical education and realistic experience possible.

When stylist-apprentices have successfully completed the program and they are in compliance with our core values, stylist-apprentices will graduate from the program. Once all of these requirements are met, upon graduation, they will begin to work on the floor as a full-time stylist, taking clients from the Salon (avg. 8-24 clients a week).

Full-time stylists are eligible to enter salon contests, to travel to Bumble and Bumble University in New York City, and participate in photo shoots and fashion shows to build their portfolio.
