Sonia Nieves - Superstar Stylist
When Sonia was young, she would always do her doll's hair. This grew into doing her friend's hair for Homecoming and Prom. This blossomed into her choosing to attend Paul Mitchell's Cosmetology School right out of high school. In addition, she has had education through Bumble & Bumble and Intercoiffure and has rubbed elbows with stylists such as Travis Oribe, Nick Arrojo and Ted Gibson.
Sonia definitely brings her Latina flair to our salon with a passion for short, sophisticated haircuts and a true knack for coloring. She has a good eye for creating a new look for her clients when they are looking for a change. She has had clients rave about her ability to not only give them the perfect style, but then teach them how to do it at home to achieve the same effect. Her attention to detail and the development of her craft has led her to be the salon's first stylist ranked as a super star.
When Sonia is not at the salon, she is always outside. She enjoys being in the middle of nowhere—hiking, snowboarding, cross-country skiing. This winter, she is even trying split boarding. She loves the outdoor lifestyle, but when she is home, she is spending time with her Chihuahua named Izzy.
Having moved from Boone, North Carolina, a small mountain town, Sonia is pleased to say she took a risk by moving cross-country in order to advance her career, a risk that paid off. She thrives at the salon and inspires others to push their careers to the limit, as well.
