Sophi Mahmood - Make-Up Artist & Salon Coordinator
Sophi made the switch from retail management over to the fashion world after working with Ergün some shows. She has been a part of De Velo Magazine and Denver Magazine photo shoots, doing make-up, and loves applying her artistic talent on a daily basis. In addition, at the front desk, she is incredibly efficient with her love for math and her passion for quality customer service. She wants every client to have a positive experience while they are in the salon and will do anything to be sure that happens.
Sophi enjoys being a part of a team and a company that she personally believes in; with all that the salon does for the industry and the community, Sophi says they are an easy company to support. She said that working with the members of this team is so much fun that even on 13 hour photo shoots, they all still manage to laugh and have a great time together.
When Sophi isn't at work, she might be found on the water somewhere. She enjoys wakeboarding and swimming during the summer months. She also delights in a good book; The Diving Bell and the Butterfly being her recent favorite. Additionally, Sophi appreciates instrumental, electronic music, not to be confused with techno. She shares her love of math by volunteering to tutor for the Colorado Association of Black Professional Engineers & Scientists.
Sophi comes by her love for numbers honestly, as her father is a physicist. He taught her Newton's Laws at the young age of 6. Growing up in Jordan, she fluently speaks Arabic and a bit of French. Sophi always has a load of energy and revels in getting you checked out quickly and efficiently. She likes to stay busy and is always looking for the next thing she can do.
